This course introduces the attendees to the dangers that exist when lifting a load, or using slings, cables or chains to move a load while operating an Overhead crane or a Gantry Crane
Who should attend?
Individuals who operate the Gantry cranes and the ones the ones that does rigging of the loads to the crane using slings, chains, ropes or cables to secure or move loads should attend this course. All employers should consider this course as part of mandatory safety training for every employee who shall be employed to operate lifting machinery, use slings, chains, ropes, while carrying out their job function.
What will they learn?
Students shall learn how to operate the crane in a safe manner, determine or calculate the weight of a load so they can select correct lifting slings and shall be knowledgeable in carrying out the methods of safely attaching slings to a load and safe it’s transportation.
