The Rigging and Slinging Training course introduces the student to the dangers that exist when lifting a load or using slings, cables or chains to move a load
Who should attend? Individuals who either by profession or as a part-time activity, operate slings, chains, ropes or cables to secure or move loads should attend this course. All employers should consider this course as part of inductee training for every new employee who shall be employed to use slings, chains, ropes, or operate lifting machinery while carrying out their job function.
What will they learn? Students shall learn how to determine or calculate the weight of a load so they can select correct lifting slings and shall be knowledgeable in carrying out the methods of safely attaching slings to a load.
