What is SCBA Safety Training?
Self-Contained Breathing Apparatus (SCBA) safety training is a program designed to educate individuals on the proper and safe use of SCBA equipment. SCBAs are respiratory protection devices used in hazardous environments where the air is contaminated or lacks sufficient oxygen. This training is typically targeted towards emergency responders, firefighters, industrial workers, and other professionals who may encounter hazardous atmospheres in their line of work.
The initial training is designed to equip the delegate with the knowledge, understanding and skills to use breathing apparatus safely in an emergency and employees who are working in hazardous areas with possibility of oxygen deficiency, explosion and toxics. Designated first responders who are required to enter dangerous atmospheres during a rescue or during fire suppression.
