Making your resume is an art that includes your academic qualification, professional experiences, skills and required personal information. There are some tips that will help you create a better, smart and eye-catchy resume. Let’s see some tips here,
Write a unique description about yourself. This can be based on your career objectives, experiences or your professional expectations.
You will be contacted only if your resume is matching with the requirements. Thus, for each job, there must be some keywords which used by the HR team to search the right candidate. Well, your resume must include the key words and focused information as per your qualification, experience. While applying for a suitable job, you can fix with which is the information you need to focus on your resume as per the job description given by the employer.
Size of the resume
Try to make your resume as simple and precise as possible. Nobody have time to read your whole resume with number of pages. One page resume is ideal but you can make it two pages if it is really required. We suggest one page.
Add headings, sub-heading, bullet points and different fonts while creating your resume. This will attract the HR team and it will be easy for them to focus on the required information they are looking for.
In your resume, only the vital information is enough. There is no need to describe all your details, but you can just make some bullet points on your job responsibilities, skills, personal information etc. Always remember, you are answerable for all the words you are typing on your resume.
Try to avoid long sentences and grammar mistakes. It would be better if you do a spelling check and proof read before applying the jobs.
A cover letter would be an added advantage while you are applying for any post. This letter must be based the job posted by the employer and must show how much you are interested in that job.
